People such as nobles would gather together and go hunting for fun and for food. Bands would play at big feast that were hosted by nobles, knights, or the clergy. Nobles would watch troubadours perform, which were people who sang and played music that told stories. People also participated in athletic events such as archery, jousting, and wrestling. Nobles and peasants watched battles of prisoners fighting to the death for entertainment. Knights would perform in jousting tournaments for others. They also watched people perform dramas, which were performed with costumes and instrument.
Like modern day people they also had games during the middle ages such as knucklebones, shovelboard, and chess. Knucklebone was an older version of dice and shovelboard is like shuffleboard. There were many medieval entertainers and one of the most common one is a jester. A jester kind of dressed like a clown and performed for the king and in the medieval court.
